Restoration is always a comforting experience for anyone who has suffered any form of setback or stagnancy. It was, therefore, with great joy and resounding amen that the congregation received the prophetic proclamation of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya at the April 2 anointing service which held in the main auditorium of The Fountain of Life Church.

In his message, Pastor Taiwo said that when God promises to restore His children, He is not only bringing them back to the initial state of breakthrough but will also bless them with opportunities lost in those seeming stagnated years. “When God restores, He doesn’t just take back to the original state but multiplies the original,” he said.

Speaking from Joel 1:1-7; Joel 2:25-27; Acts 7:9, Isaiah 42:22; and Job 42:10-12, he noted that God controls the universe and can use anything or anyone as an army to correct His children when they deliberately walk against His commandment and covenant, noting that, He will also restore them when they repent and turn to Him. “God is the only restorer who will remove shame from His children when He restores their wasted years,” he said.

He also noted that the aim of God is to always restore His children even if they are the cause of their afflictions. According to him, Jesus came for the restoration of mankind as seen in His actions recorded in Act 10:38; and Luke 4:18.

Using Jonah (Jonah 1:1-4:11) as an example, he said that even when believers cause their own afflictions, God will still restore them because of His faithfulness to His covenant with them. “Even if you use your hands to bring the problems upon yourself, He will still restore you if you go back to him. He’s always willing to restore,” he stated.

He, therefore, urged them to trust God for restoration in all areas of life and never to forget that restoration is their covenant heritage. “You are a covenant child of God, so it doesn’t matter the level of your setback or the plans of the enemy for you, God will restore you and then judge the enemy,” he said.
