While admonishing the worshippers at the April 25 Thursday Showers service from Colossians 2:14-15, Pastor Nomthi said that believers are winners all the time and therefore should not allow the devil to intimidate them.
According to her, the devil usually wants to make Christians believe that they are losers when situations seem difficult or prayers look not answered, but that’s when they should remember that they are forever victorious in Christ and the devil is their slave.
She used the example of a football match where a team’s joy over a scored goal is cancelled because it is offside to show that the devil’s seeming mockery over believers is not real because it is an offside goal. “The devil is forever offside; you have been given power over him. So don’t be afraid of him because he is your slave and is under you,” she said.
