Speaking from Isaiah 61:7, Pastor Taiwo told the worshippers at the October 17 Thursday Showers service that God’s Spirit removes fear from believers. This fear, he said, is usually instilled in them by the devil to distract and derail them from fulfilling their purpose. He noted that the Holy Spirit brings restoration to God’s people. “When the anointing of the Holy Ghost comes, it brings about restoration,” he said.
He noted that the Spirit of God in His children does not only bless them but also makes them a blessing to others, repairing damaged lives as well as cities. This, Pastor Taiwo noted, reveals the glory of God on earth and draws unbelievers to Him. “You have been promoted to be God’s ministers and servers in God’s Kingdom,” he stated.
Pastor Taiwo further added that when the Holy Spirit comes upon them, He replaces shame with honour and confusion with rejoicing. “For every suffering and shame, you will have double honour,” he declared.
