Pastor Nomthi charged the congregation at the December 29 Sunday service to prayerfully commit the promise for the week, which is in Isaiah 61:7, to their hearts.
According to her, “It’s our mantra for this week and beyond.”
Sharing the story of Susan Boyle, a contestant in Britain’s Got Talent’ show, who was mocked when she came on stage, but became a reference point for that show after she gave a sterling performance, Pastor Nomthi prayerfully declared to the congregation that they would also be celebrated wherever they have been mocked, laughed at, or looked down upon.
“They may have laughed at your dreams, they will rise up to applaud you, and you will become the proverbial one whom they will always refer to,” she prayed.
