The first Bishop’s Court and Home Affairs meeting held on the 18th of January, 2020 at the Youth Chapel of The Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju was a moment of thanksgiving and prayers for the New Year. The meeting, which was jointly held, featured corporate prayers for the nation, the children, spiritual growth, inner peace, the church amongst other prayer points.

Bro. Bolaji, during the prayer session he anchored, encouraged the participants to always thank God irrespective of request that has not yet manifested. He noted that considering the bigger picture of what God has done over the years we will totally admit we were not where we used to be.

Reading from Matt. 6: 31-33, Sis. Ajayi prayed for thirst after righteousness noting that the only way to achieve the bidding of God is through consecration and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in us. Citing Isaiah 54:13, Prayers were raised for the youth and children to be discerning and steadfast in the things of the Spirit irrespective of negative trends around.

Bro. Seyi Sowemimo, Executive of the Bishop’s Court express the need to always show gratitude for what God has done. He noted that a lot has happened between the New Year and the time of the meeting and only God’s Grace has preserved everyone. He, therefore, prayed that the children will constantly be under the protection of the blood of Jesus and the parents will never now sorrow over them.

He charged that worrying solves no problem, hence it should be put away and substituted with praying to God who is eager to answer our prayers before we ask. Using Isaiah 40:31 he prayed for Pastors Taiwo and Nomthi Odukoya. The prayer session was brought to a close by Pastor Mary Fayemi.
