Using Apostle Paul’s charge to Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12-16 as focus, Pastor Taiwo at the June 11 online Thursday Showers service said that God is interested in the progress of His children as well as showcasing them to the world, noting that it glorifies Him.
This progress, he said, spreads across all spheres of their lives.
“God is glorified when there’s evidence in your life that you are His child,” he said.
Also speaking from Matthew 5:15-16 and John 15:7-8, Pastor noted that having a conscious meditation on God’s mind and thought towards His children will help believers do well in showcasing God’s glory to the world. He further said that courage and divine strength are also needed alongside meditation.
In his words, “In this busy world, you need to be conscious to make time for the major things in your life. You will need to meditate on the word of God. Prioritize meditating on God’s word and every other thing will materialize.”
He, therefore, urged them from Joshua 1:8 to make the word of God their companion as that is a major key to shinning for Christ in a sinful world.
“Make time to think and reflect on the word. What you don’t have time for, you don’t appreciate. But if you give time to His word, it will take any negative thought or thing away from your mindset,” he said.
