In continuation of the message he started the previous Thursday, Pastor Taiwo at the July 26 Sunday service said that decisions are either influenced by God for good or by the devil for bad and that whatever decision one makes affects his or her life as well as that of their descendants. This is why, according to him, God is interested in the path of life and decisions believers make because He doesn’t want them to walk in vain. “God wants to be involved in the path you take and that includes the decisions and choices you make because He wants you to have a glorious ending,” he said.
Speaking from Proverbs 3:5-6, Deuteronomy 30:19 and Philippians 2:16, Pastor said that choices have consequences but that when believers have an unwavering trust in God and acknowledge Him in all their ways, their choices would always be influenced by God. This, he noted, would help them avoid making bad decisions due to internal and external pressure as well as the pride of life. In his words, “It doesn’t matter how far gone you’ve been, you can still make one positive decision that would change your life forever. Make it a habit of trusting and acknowledging God and see how your decision would be positive and impact your generations.”
He then urged them to allow God’s words to dwell richly in them as this would guide them on how to know God’s mind for them, thereby putting Him first in all they do. “You can start to have that better life with the knowledge of God’s word. Don’t assume; always seek His view on any issue of your life,” he said.
