Hello Honourable,
We undoubtedly believe that you were blessed by the last week’s overview. We had the final overview of our Bible Study this week and it was another interactive and impactful session. Here’s the summary below to help you stay connected with God’s word.
The Holy Spirit our Comforter (Part 1)
“I will ask the Father and he will give you another comforter, and he will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit who leads into all truth.” John 14:16-17.
The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Godhead whose manifestation was revealed throughout the Bible (Genesis 1:1-3; Luke 1:35; 4:1-14 and Acts 1:38). He is the very presence of God within us, helping us live as God wants. He is a powerful person on our side, working for us and with us.
After the event at Pentecost where the Disciples got filled with the Holy Spirit as Jesus promised them before leaving, the Holy Spirit becomes accessible by all who believes in Christ. He keeps us in the embrace of God at all times and is always around us to comfort us.
If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit on earth, then we all also need Him to survive on earth.
The Roles of the Holy Spirit in our Lives as Believers
The Holy Spirit is not just our comforter but He is a Counsellor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener. The gift of the Holy Spirit is free and He is a promise of God and has been sent to us from above. How you yield to Him would determine the level of His manifestation in you.
Reflections
Finally, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of counsel, wisdom and understanding, knowledge and the fear of the Lord. He is real and when you lean on Him, you will discover how He leads you. So, in all your getting, get the Holy Spirit.
