In continuation of his message on the God-kind of faith, pastor Taiwo told his listeners at the August 16 online Sunday service that there can’t be any progress for believers in the Kingdom without having faith in place, noting that faith is the tangibility of the intangible hope. “There is no sustainable way forward for any Christian who does not trust GOD,” he said.

Referencing Mark 11:23-24, James 4:1-2 and Luke 6:45, Pastor enumerated negative mindset, envy, anger, jealousy and lack of practising biblical principles among many others as reasons believers are denied of results even after confessing. In his words, “In as much as believers have many needs, they don’t receive because they don’t ask accordingly. You cannot say what you don’t believe in your heart or mind. If you can change your mindset to be positive, you will find yourself saying positively which are in line with God’s word even in the midst of unpalatable circumstances. The only difference between the successful ones and those struggling is the lack of practice of the Biblical principles that guarantee a positive result.”

Pastor Taiwo further identified sin as the major reason why people struggle in exercising their faith. Quoting from Hebrews 12:1 -2, he admonished that each person must deal with the sin and distractions limiting the realities of the full manifestation of purpose. “Sin slows a believer down from receiving their blessings because it’s a distraction,” he stated.

He, therefore, urged the congregation to firmly believe the Word mentioning that “Once you believe what GOD says about you, most of your challenges will give way to testimonies of victories. Jesus is the Word and as you keep looking at the Word, your life will begin to reflect desired changes. With Him, the activities of the devil are nullified in your life.”
