Sunday service was with a difference at The Fountain of Life Church on the 30th of August. It was the first onsite service held at the main auditorium after about five months of lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pastor Taiwo while admonishing the 500 congregants from Exodus 14:15, said that God loves to see His children progress in all spheres of life, noting that is the reason He told Moses to tell the children of Israel to go forward.
According to him, God has commanded the progress of His children and no devil’s scheme or actions can stop them from moving forward, just as nothing or no one could stop the children of Israel from moving forward as He commanded them.
The pastor further noted that such believers need to know and understand God’s desires and instructions about their lives to be able to achieve this.
He also explained from Deuteronomy 1:5-8 that God will always address and break every stagnation in the lives of His covenant children because He always wants them to go forward.
He again described God’s instruction to Moses for the Israelites that they should go forward against all odds as a profound admonishment of faith, noting that faith is not great until there is a corresponding action.
“You are a king on earth. You must get going against all odds and find a balance to move forward,” the clergyman said.
“You must stand still in spite of all the challenges before you; declaring freedom. The lockdown has locked down the minds of some people but it is time to move forward.”
The Pastor also re-assured that God will stop anything that is out to stop the progress of His children. He will finish what He started in their lives.
He said, “God is out to do unusual things for you in all seasons. He is interested in your progress; it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been hanging around, you will go forward in Jesus’ name.”
He, therefore, encouraged them never to doubt God whenever He asks them to move forward.
“If God is saying to you today to move forward, it doesn’t matter what you are going through, just take the leap of faith and go forward. You have a hope and a future. It’s a new beginning and a go-forward season. Look at the situation and declare, ‘I am going forward in Jesus’ name.’”
