Pastor Taiwo Odukoya has urged all believers to ‘go forward’, and trust God to make good His promises concerning them. He gave this admonition at the August 27 Thursday Showers.
Using the account of the children of Israel’s exit from Egypt recorded in Exodus 14 as an illustration, Pastor Taiwo said that God has everything sorted out before asking His children to move forward, noting that no challenge or evil conspiracy can stop Him.
He also noted that believers should not despair or cry irrespective of their current circumstances but to trust God and step out in faith to move forward in line with the promises of God.
“If God has given you any instruction, you better start moving forward in that line,” he said.
He further cited Jeremiah 29:11, Hebrews 4:15, and Isaiah 66:9, to reiterate God’s unfailing plan towards His children, noting that they also must take action so as to make the promise come to reality.
According to him, “What God starts will be complete and be assured that He has truncated whatever hindrances you may be facing as you move forward. God expects you to have a relationship with Him, trust Him, and take action. There must be a corresponding action to your faith.”
He thus urged as many without a relationship with Christ, to start by ‘placing the blood of the Lamb on the lintel of their doors’; that is; inviting Jesus into their hearts as Lord and Saviour.
