Believers have been reminded to lean on the Holy Spirit for direction in life as the Married Men’s
Fellowship of The Fountain of Life Church, fondly called Bishops Court met.
“Obedience will attract divine instructions which will culminate into blessings,” Bro Olusegun Oso explained in his message for the monthly event held virtually on September 19th, 2020.
Bro Oso, in continuation of the series of life-impacting monthly online meetings of the Married Men’s Fellowship, told the gathering of more than 50 persons to allow the Holy Spirit to take charge in every area of their lives.
Taking his main text from Genesis 26: 1-33, Bro Oso’s message which was captioned “The Driver’s Seat,” reiterated that the Holy Spirit, as the Helper, Comforter, Advocate, and Compass will lead believers to the expected destination.
He likened life to a vehicle consisting of families, relationships, economy, and desires, stressing that when believers allow the Holy Spirit to lead them, failures or regrets will not happen.
Recalling when Isaac had challenges due to famine, he reminded attendees that difficult times are not new and will continue to occur.
He, however, assured that the grace to overcome and thrive is always available to those who will dare to trust God and allow Him to direct their lives.
Divine blessings, he added, always attract persecution but staying in line with godly instructions ensures victory.
Even though he admitted there is a tendency to reduce giving during difficult times, Bro Oso charged believers to continually sow seeds during such periods, asking Christians to ponder on what the Philistines did while Isaac was sowing seeds.
The Bishops Court meeting for September 2020 began with an intensive session of
prayers and worship with the presence of God felt mightily right from the onset of the event.
