6 Ways Your Toothpaste Can Multitask

As much as the name implies, toothpaste makes your teeth white and promotes good dental health. But do you know that toothpaste does more than just cleaning your teeth? Guess you never knew that there are many handy ways you can get your toothpaste to multitask for you. Here are ways to do that.

Remove crayon from walls

Do your children find your walls their favourite artwork canvas? Well, most of us are guilty of the same when we were their age. But while you are still at persuading and convincing them that their colouring book is the right place for that, squeeze some non-gel toothpaste on the artwork and scrub with a rag or scrub brush. Then rinse with a clean damp cloth. Your wall will return to normal in no time.

Remove odour on your hands

Having trouble with ridding garlic, fish and any other unfriendly kitchen smell from your hands? Just rub some toothpaste on your hands leave for a minute or two, then rinse.

Clean the Rubber Trim on Sneakers
If the rubber trim on sneaker soles is dirty, use a bit of toothpaste on an old toothbrush and give it a good scrub. Wipe away with a damp cloth.

Remove Scuffs on Vinyl & Leather Shoes
To remove scuffs from smooth leather, patent leather, or vinyl shoes, simply dab toothpaste on a soft cloth or sponge, work on a small area at a time and then buff away the residue and scuffs with a soft cloth. This does not apply to suede leather shoes or boots. (scuff is a mark made by scraping or grazing a surface or object)

Put the shine back on your Jewelry
If your silver jewellery has tarnished or your diamonds look a bit dull, toothpaste can bring back the shine to them. Use just a tiny bit on an old toothbrush and work into every crevice. Rinse well and buff with a dry cloth to see the piece sparkle. Never use toothpaste on soft gems like pearls or opals. They will become scratched from the abrasive quality of the toothpaste.

Save a Mobile Phone Screen
There is nothing as annoying as a scratched screen on your mobile phone. But a tiny amount of toothpaste on your fingertip will buff out small scratches from a cell phone screen. Finish by wiping away with a damp cloth and allow the phone to air dry.
