Pastor Oyinda Soderu

Worshippers at The Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos, were at the Thursday Showers of February 25, 2021, urged to acknowledge God as they possess their possessions.

The advice came through Pastor Oyinda Soderu, who further revealed that God initiated the idea of ‘Possessing our Possessions’.

Preaching on the topic, ‘Possessing my possessions as easy as ABC’, Pastor Oyinda Soderu, who took her bible reference from Obadiah 1:17, John 15:16, Genesis 15:7, Hebrews 11:6, Genesis 15:1, Genesis 15:7-8, Romans 10:9, and Colossians 2:6, suggested that, “In the kingdom, you don’t just run into things, you must first pause and say God, you came up with the idea of possessing my possessions, what exactly do you mean?

“God is the one who called you, you must follow the divine protocols. The race is never for the swift in our kingdom, nor for the wise and those who think they have all it requires.”

Pastor Oyinda Soderu further stated that, “when your relationship with God is not intact, there is a problem. One of the hardest things to do in the course of possessing your possessions is to pause and stop running.”

Adding that human nature is restless and always wants to be busy and fill the vacuum, the clergy insisted before those in attendance that no sermon can be complete without telling them to believe. She also revealed that the promises of God are big and can sometimes be scary because of their sheer magnitude.

Pastor Oyinda Soderu said, “sometimes, the instructions of God don’t answer to common sense, with a further position that God will reward and compensate them regardless of what they are going through”.

“To possess your possessions, you have to know that you are in a covenant with God. Ask God questions, and stop promoting what everybody is saying.

“If you understand covenant, you will know God fights for you and the only responsibility you have is to hold your peace.”
