Taking his reading from Obadiah 1:15-18 and Revelation 3:7-8, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya while ministering at the April 25 Sunday service said that a Christian’s victorious living is a continuous possession of one’s possessions.
The Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church explained that there is always more to capture even after all seems to be captured already.
“What you have possessed is yours but you can’t finish capturing it. You finish possessing your possession when you finally become like Jesus in the end,” he added.
The clergy noted that believers ought to rest in the strength of God to be able to possess their possession through faith.
“When you exercise faith in God’s ability of what He has done, it opens the door for actualizing it,” he noted.
While taking part of his scripture reading from Acts 1:8, the preacher explained that it is the Holy Spirit that empowers believers to be His witnesses and live a life of service to Him. This power of the Holy Spirit, he continued, is what Christians need for a turnaround in life.
“The whole of life is about power, if you don’t know that, you are making a big mistake. You only need to begin to be Christ’s witnesses and watch how doors will begin to open from level to level. The secret is clear,” the preacher noted.
According to him, believers do not have to go far as the power they require for a victorious life has been deposited in them by the Holy Spirit.
He urged Christians to be conscious of their rights in God, asking them to deepen their relationships with Him beyond just asking for their needs and wants.
“You know the problem of the Church; I mean the body of Christ today? We use God. ‘Give me!’ ‘Help me!’ ‘Make me!’ Don’t you know that you don’t need to cry that? He knows what you need! He will do more than ever remember to ask for,” he said.
