The Fountain of Life Church, TFOLC, Ilupeju, Lagos, has told its congregation that even though cars, money, jewellery, land and lots more, could appear as their possession in life, their ultimate possession is and should always be God.
The church stated this through Pastor Tosin Sowemimo, during the first service of Sunday, July 25.
In her opening remarks from Obadiah 1:17, Pastor Tosin Sowemimo, who stated that everything becomes obsolete and fades away on this side of heaven, insisted before the worshippers that life will always take a deeper meaning as it unfolds before them.
The clergy referred to Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Matthew 22:36-39 and Jerimiah 31:3, to note that God’s first expression to man after creation was love.
Whilst adding that “Even at redemption, His plan was love and He never expects less of it from us towards Him”, she said, “God’s requirement from us is obeying His commandment and standards. Our daily interaction with people should always showcase the representation of heaven’s culture.”
Concluding her sermon, Pastor Tosin Sowemimo cited Revelation 2:2-4, Revelation 3:1417, to point out that, “Our God is a passionate lover and His expectation of us is to follow Him with passion and never with levity. The total of our life should be worship, not necessarily singing but our words, action and dealings must regard God.”
