Christians have been reminded of the importance of confessing the Word of God in their lives.
The reminder came from the Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya while addressing the congregation during the Sunday service of October 24, 2021.
Pastor Taiwo told Fountaineers that the Word of God, being the source of all things, cannot be practical in their lives unless they speak it.
Pastor Taiwo said, “On earth, you must verbalise the truth (the Word) that has been everlasting for it to manifest.”
Teaching from Hebrews 10:23, Pastor Taiwo stated that the ability of a Christian to hold fast to God’s Word, and His faithfulness, will get Him to do wonders in the believer’s life because God’s Word is true and He cannot lie.
The cleric added, “If we come to a conviction in our life that God is faithful, He will do wonders. If He created everything by His Word, He cannot lie. So let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering.”
He further noted that just as God always speaks about Himself with assurance and certainty, believers ought also to speak about themselves under the light of God as their Father.
Pastor Taiwo further stressed that believers must confess what God says about them on earth just as He declares His sovereignty.
Speaking further from John 8:18-26, Pastor Taiwo, who highlighted the nature of Jesus Christ as always confessing and speaking what He hears God say, asked the members to emulate Jesus, since they are one with Christ, just as Christ is one with God.
The Senior Pastor urged worshippers to personalise their confessions all the time, just as he stated that, “There is a place for “I” for the Word to come to pass. It must be personal.
“Keep confessing, and you will keep seeing manifestations. Fight to maintain that confession. Say what God has said about you, keep at it and do not let the devil make you who you are not.”
