The Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, TFOLC, Ilupeju, Lagos, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, has again reminded believers not to be swayed by any challenge in their Christian walk, saying that what lies ahead has an exceeding weight of glory.
Pastor Taiwo gave the admonition in his message during the Sunday, November 21, 2021 service.
Taking his Bible reference from 2 Corinthians 4:17-18, the TFOLC helmsman argued that while the believer is bound to face trials, these trials are only meant to strengthen their faith and prepare them for a place better than the present world.
“That’s contrary to what the devil plans. His goal is to steal, kill and destroy. But when it is an affliction, unusual exploits begin to open up,” Pastor Taiwo told the congregation.
He charged the worshippers not to allow the devil to make them see their present situations as working against them, adding that doing this will make the devil think he is winning the war against them.
The Senior Pastor insisted that “It is our responsibility to see things the way God sees. Otherwise, the devil will begin to take advantage of us.”
In buttressing his point, the clergyman read from Matthew 14:14-15, where he narrated how Jesus was still full of compassion for the multitude that thronged to him even though he had just received the news of John the Baptist’s death.
“Then, I concluded, there is no mourning, there is no sadness, there is no wailing that can stop an outflow of the love of God,” Pastor Taiwo noted, and further cited Romans 8:35 to drive home his point.
While stressing that life is fleeting, he reemphasized that irrespective of what anyone is experiencing, the glory that lies ahead is incomparable to the present realities.
