God’s Laws Are Perfect – Pastor Moji Awokoya

Fountaineers have been told that “God desires each one of us to be priests and worshippers.”

The above assertion came from Pastor Moji Awokoya while preaching on the topic: “Ever-Increasing Glory,” during the second service on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

She supported her statement by narrating God’s call to Abraham to separate himself from his family which formed the basis of the relationship he built with God resulting in God’s promise to make him the father of many nations.

Taking her first Bible reference from Isaiah 60:1-3 and 2:2; the clergywoman maintained that the Gentiles have been empowered to walk in the light and glory of God through the promises of these scriptures.

According to her, the law, as given by God through Moses, was perfect but couldn’t be observed because of the weakness of the people.

The pastor further argued that acceptance by the people should have been accompanied by cries of mercy since the call of Abraham was not based on laws.

Pastor Moji Awokoya espoused that going through the history of Israel as a nation, it was obvious that everything that happened to them was based on prophesy.

She emphasized that even though the Jews understood the prophecies and the timings, the mystery of the kingdom was kept secret from them.

The clergywoman referenced Romans 16:25 and Ephesians 3:9 to back up her points that it was in time through the conversion of Paul, the Apostle, that the mystery became revealed.

She added that God’s covenant with Israel was revealed through the incontrovertible declarations of Jeremiah 31:31 – 37. However, “for those of us in the present day as members of the Body, Christ brought us much more through His death on the Cross.”

Concluding her message, she reiterated that the grace of Christ abounds much more to living a victorious life as a Christian.

According to her, “the old covenant was good, the New Testament is great, but for us in the new dispensation; there is even much more in perfection through the finished work of the cross.
