The Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, TFOLC, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, has re-echoed the importance of God’s grace in the Christian race, saying it is available to the believers irrespective of their circumstances.
He gave the admonition in the May 15 Sunday service held at the church’s headquarters in Ilupeju, Lagos.
“Regardless of the situation, God’s grace is always sufficient. You do not need anything else; God’s grace is enough,” he said.
The cleric took his primary text from 2 Corinthians 12:9 to explain the importance of believers taking advantage of God’s provision of grace. He said grace will enable them to live a victorious life.
Furthermore, the Senior Pastor told the congregation to always hold on to God’s Word in every situation. This, according to him, is because every believer is responsible for the instructions God gives them.
“I am more responsible for what He (God) said to me than what someone else is telling me that He said we should do,” Pastor Taiwo explained.
“I will respect that if I can confirm that He truly said it. But when He speaks to you, and it is in line with His word and character, it would be your fault if you fail to adhere,” he added.
Pastor Taiwo stated that God’s Grace is the antidote and “the key that will see you through”.
“Grace is God’s means of answering all our questions and solving our problems. We are all products of grace.
“God’s power is perfected in our weakness. Sufficiency is produced by grace, and when grace comes, it is in abundance. God will never deal with humans except through grace. The love and fellowship of Christ are through grace.”
Before Pastor Taiwo’s message, the Promise for the Week was read from Psalm 119:18. Through this scripture, believers were reminded of the infallibility of God’s word. In addition, the passage re-emphasized the importance of spiritual understanding, which is key to taking hold of God’s promises to His children.
The service also featured worship and praise sessions by the church’s choir, the Grace Levites; they also rendered a hymn, “His Truth is Marching On.”
