The Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church (TFOLC), Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, has urged Christians to pursue an in-depth intimacy with God as this is when their strength and ability to carry out great exploits are guaranteed.

He said this while ministering at the September 18, 2022, Sunday service of the TFOLC held in the Ilupeju area of Lagos State.

While taking his reading from Daniel 11:32, Pastor Taiwo told the congregation that though man is in the era of information, such doesn’t guarantee knowledge. He stated that the knowledge in the scriptures regarding carrying out exploits is from a relationship experience with God.

“Man is exposed to vast information, but knowledge is limited. Only the set of people who know their God will exploit,” he said.

Giving more examples of the consequences of lack of knowledge, Pastor Taiwo read Hosea 4:6 and Isaiah 5:13 to show how God’s people, who are assumed to be covenant people, couldn’t attain the fullness of His promise based on their lack of knowledge.

He also differentiated between impressing people and making an impact on people. According to him, seeking to impress people rather than impact them is what most Christians do.

“Knowing God in a relationship will always result in productivity,” Pastor Taiwo said.

The clergyman also referenced Apostle Paul, who, upon hearing of the new believers’ faith, prayed to God to grant them revelation knowledge of Him (Ephesians 1:15-19), to show his listeners that they were created for exploits and that anything less was not bringing glory to God and His purpose.

On the other hand, he said, believers who seek to make exploits will face opposition, but victory is certain.

From Colossians 1:4-9, he urged the congregation to always seek to be full of revelational knowledge of God, noting that this would build the relationship that would result in exploits.

“To identify your purpose, you should become intimate with God through knowledge and see how the purpose shall be revealed,” he said.

Earlier in the service, Pastor Biodun Soderu admonished the congregation from Psalm 37:34, which is also the promise for the week. According to him, if believers can wait on the Lord and keep His way, He will exalt them to a high place, and they will see the end of the wicked, which is destruction.
