The need for and importance of God’s presence in the life of a believer have been emphasised by Pastor Taiwo Odukoya of The Fountain of Life Church (TFOLC), Ilupeju, Lagos.
Speaking at the October 13 Thursday Showers from Acts 13, the man of God said the purpose of a believer is known and assured in God’s presence. He says, “You want to know the purpose of your life? Get into His presence.”
The clergyman also noted that God’s voice is heard when in His presence, adding that the self would also be forgotten when in God’s presence.
Pastor Taiwo further stated that ministering to the Lord combines worship and service. He then stated that service includes believers’ attitudes towards one another and attitudes towards making worship conducive.
In his words, “Ministering to the Lord combines worship and service. You can never serve right or succeed in serving if you do not worship.
“God is the reason you are getting the result you are getting. So, find time to be alone with Him. Do not spend your whole time preparing to meet the people; otherwise, you will be presenting yourself to the people. If you find time to present yourself to God, you will be presenting God to the people.
“When one presents oneself to God, very few things in life would bother such a believer.
He then urged them not to seek man’s validation or be intimidated by other believers’ breakthroughs because whatever any believer achieves is for the glory of God. “In all you do, remember that it is all about His glory, from the beginning to the end,” he urged.
