The Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church (TFOLC), Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, has revealed that the devil schemes to distract believers from knowing that their life experiences are always for God’s glory. He added that breakthroughs, blessings, and victory are for them to accrue.
Speaking during the October 20 Showers Service, Pastor Taiwo took his Bible reference from Zechariah 3:3-5 to analyse the story of Joshua, the high priest who was clothed with filthiness. He exhorted the congregation not to allow the devil to distract them from acknowledging God and His help for them irrespective of their situations, just as Joshua remained steadfast and focused because he knew that the One he represented would never leave nor forsake him.
According to the clergyman, Joshua exemplified unusual faith and remained in his priestly activities, though battered and bitter, until the angel commanded the garment to be taken off him.
As a result, the TFOLC’s helmsman declared that when God gives a command, it is always causative and is as good as done. “God’s command for our breakthrough must be taken by faith to avert unnecessary struggle,” he added.
The preacher further read Psalms 3:3-4 and noted that believers must remember that God’s glory is always at stake in any challenging situation.
In his words: “God’s glory and favour can never be questioned or messed up; and if He is not messed up, then you cannot be messed up. So it will eventually turn out for His glory.”
He also noted that believers should not look into other people’s situations to define their reality, adding that the Word of God should be the mirror with which they see their reality.
To cap his message, Pastor Taiwo urged the worshippers to maintain a grateful heart always, no matter what happens to and around them.
The cleric said, “In the darkest moments of your life, your attitude must remain that of gratitude to God, acknowledging God as the Creator, who is full of knowledge and wisdom and can never weary.”
