Pastor Taiwo Odukoya has likened prayer to a tool the believer needs to live a victorious life.
The Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church (TFOLC) said this in his sermon on the December 1, 2022, edition of Thursday Showers, which was held at the church’s headquarters in Ilupeju, Lagos State.
“You can’t afford to live without praying. The Bible enjoins us to pray without ceasing. Every time and day, you need to pray,” he said at the service, which coincided with the Abraham and Sarah Fellowship Thanksgiving.
“You can’t afford to live without praying. The Bible enjoins us to pray without ceasing. Every time and day, you need to pray,” he added.
Using Abraham’s life as recorded in Genesis 21 as an example, the clergyman said God’s word always disrupts the status quo, just as it did in Abraham’s life, who had a child at 100 years of age, against the status quo.
He stated, “God will only come based on His Word that He has spoken to you. So, if for any reason you think God is far away, He is not. He will come.”
“God doesn’t change, so don’t redefine Him based on your circumstances,” Pastor Taiwo continued.
He then urged the congregation to always speak God’s Word into their lives, especially as the year ends!
“This month has been given to you open, clean, and fine, but you have to populate it with what you want. If not, the devil and his agents would help you populate it with what you don’t want,” he added.
Afterward, Pastor Taiwo led them into a prayer session, asking them to speak God’s Word into their lives, after which he made prophetic declarations over them.
