The first meeting of the Bishops Court and Home Affairs, the married men and women fellowships of The Fountain of Life Church, was held on Saturday, January 19, 2023.
The meeting, tagged Thanksgiving, held at Youth Church of The Fountain of Life Church and had married men and women come together to chart the course for the new year.
Featuring several prayer sessions, members from both fellowships took turns leading the congregation in prayers of thanksgiving and intercession for the church, their families, and the nation as the 2023 elections get closer.
While giving words of exhortation, Bro Seyi Sowemimo urged the joint fellowship to have faith and reawaken every sleeping giant, noting that God rewards service.
According to him, since the Senior Pastor, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya has declared 2023 as the year of the Holy Spirit, members should key into that and take steps of faith to see to the realization of their God-given visions. “Whatever the Holy Spirit has spoken to you, believe God,” he told the gathering, asking them to “reawaken the sleeping giants and put them back to motion.”
He recalled Mary’s encounter with the angel as recorded in Luke 1:26-38 and noted that while the conditions may not look like it, God’s words do not fail. He added that Christians need faith to take hold of God’s promises to them.
The event also featured awesome testimonies from members of both fellowships.
