The first 2023 Showers service at the Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, was held on Thursday, January 5.
Joy was palpable in the atmosphere of the auditorium as worshippers poured their hearts into joy through various dialectical songs of praise.
Citing Isaiah 60:1-2 and Ephesians 5:15-18 as his Bible references(s), Pastor Taiwo insisted that the time has come for believers to walk circumspectly, redeeming the time, noting that the wicked will always be wicked, so believers too also ought to project their light.
He said, “No matter how devilish the devil is or how wicked the wicked is, your wisdom, which is His wisdom through you, will always mess him up.”
According to the clergyman, the Holy Spirit is vital in the life of a believer, adding that His input in the lives of believers results in greatness. This is why, according to him, believers need to wait for Him before taking any steps. “You’re more of a hero by the Holy Spirit you have in you,” he said.
The clergyman, therefore, urged them to trust God in the year and allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in their lives. He suggested, “Stop fighting; it won’t take you anywhere. Let the Holy Spirit be right for you this year and see. Allow him to occupy his space in your life and ministry.”
He declared prophetic utterances to their lives, concluding that they would have an awesome 2023.
