The April 6 Thursday Showers service was a special time in the presence of God as Pastor Tosin Sowemimo and Pastor Femi Megbope led the worshippers in the word and sessions of prayers.

According to Pastor Tosin Sowemimo, who spoke at The Fountain of Life Church Ilupeju, Lagos, believers are not to be anxious but always to cast their cares on Jesus.

Reading Philippians 4:6 and Luke 18:1, the cleric encouraged the people of God to train their minds not to give in to worries but to always pray in the spirit.

The clergywoman further posited that God is always with his people and will never leave them alone, adding that worries are temptations from the pit of hell; hence, Christians should never wallow in the spirit of fear or worry.

Leading the congregation in a prayer session, Pastor Femi Megbope cited Psalm 40:1-3, Isaiah 40:31, and Hebrews 1:6 to assure them that waiting on God produces beautiful results all the time, and theirs will never be an exception.

The clergyman equally stated that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him, with a further position that a waiting season may be an unpleasant one, but it is always beneficial for in waiting seasons, God usually gives out instructions, and if dully followed, there will be answers to prayers

The man of God encouraged Fountaineers not to get weary in their period of waiting on God but to continue steadfastly in prayer and fasting, even as he buttressed by saying as the theme for the month is “Commanding Praise”, waiting on the Lord preceded commanding praise.
