Pastor Blessing Awosika has reminded believers to know their identity in God, stating that Christians are special to Him.
She said this while preaching at the June 11, 2023, Sunday second service of The Fountain of Life Church (TFOLC) headquarters in the Ilupeju area of Lagos State.
According to her, God has declared that the believer is His weapon of battle against the enemy.
Citing Zachariah 2:8, the cleric noted that believers are the apple of God’s eye, and He would go to any length to save them. While referencing the biblical parable of the lost sheep, she said God has a one-on-one contract with believers.
“You are the apple of God’s eye, and anyone who tried to touch you is trying to touch God’s eye,” she said. “He will use the whole of the army of heaven to defend you from the enemy.”
She also cited 2 Corinthians 6:18 and Psalm 139:14 to tell the worshippers that God’s fatherhood transfers His inheritance to them.
“If you are a child of God, then you know that everything that is God’s, as you can read in the bible, is yours,” she added.
The preacher urged the congregation to understand who God has made them and walk like that.
“God doesn’t make mistakes. Learn to be satisfied with who God has made you,” she noted.
