Pastor Imisi Owolabi of the Fountain of Life Church (TFOLC), Ilupeju, Lagos, has revealed that the believer has what it takes to navigate through life with the help of the Holy Spirit.

She also explained the importance of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers.

Speaking during the June 29, 2023, Thursday Showers held at the main auditorium of the church, the clergywoman, who is also the Assistant Pastor of TFOLC, Hope Nation, Yaba, referenced 1 Corinthians 12 to state that the gift of the Spirit is given to everyone and that believers are meant to engage in the operation of the Holy Spirit in their daily lives.

Bearing in mind the present economic challenges characterized by fuel price hikes and high exchange rates, the cleric advised believers not to lose faith but constantly engage in the language of the Spirit, understanding that if God could frame the world through His word, then believers have the power to shape their future through their words.

Pastor Imisi affirmed that the Holy Spirit can change a timid person to be courageous, a broke person to be prosperous and can cause several advantageous changes in a man’s life.

According to her, “The Holy Spirit is not a spooky feeling; He is a person; He is God”.

Reading from the theme scripture for the year, taken from Ephesians 5:15–22, the preacher, who recounted how she fell ill in 2021 and her system could not retain medication, hinted that her consistent confession of the scripture, Psalm 91, perfected her healing.

She equally stated that faith is standing on God’s promise, despite the apparent feelings.

While characterizing prayer as a dialogue, “where our prayers should produce direction and strategies, the pastor posited that the Holy Spirit helps us exhibit the fruits of the spirit.

The clergywoman concluded by stating that the only way to engage the Holy Spirit is through the Word (the Bible).

She also maintained that “The indwelling of the Holy Spirit will cause a stir of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs within us as believers when we communicate with one another.

“In a world of twisted scriptural truth and realities, the only way to have contact with the world and not be contaminated is by the “Holy Ghost,” which can simply be activated by reading the Bible and praying daily”.
