God has ordained that man can only function in His presence; if you are out of His presence, you are out of the presence of His Holy Spirit, which means you are out of alignment.
The presiding pastor of The Fountain of Life Church (TFOLC), Worship Tabernacle Parish, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos, Pastor Tunde Malaolu, stated this while delivering his sermon at the July 6 Thursday Showers service, where he titled his message, ‘The Sweet Fellowship of the Holy Spirit.’
Reading from 2 Corinthians 13:14, the cleric posited that the three elements a believer must not take for granted are Grace, Love, and the Sweet Fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
While stating that a believer is limited if, in all their walks of life, they fail to have discernment, the clergyman maintained that “When the Spirit of God is at work in you, you will know what to do at any given time.”
Pastor Tunde Malaolu also suggested that it is one thing for believers to have the Spirit of God in them and another thing to allow the Spirit to work in them and through them.
In his words: “If you don’t give Him space, and you don’t allow Him, you cannot find full expressions in those areas.”
He, therefore, urged believers to check their lives and areas where they may be having challenges, adding that they could be lacking in alignment with the Spirit of God.
Equally reading from 1 Chronicles 15:13, the clergyman went further to say that there is an order in how believers ought to be in God’s presence, just as he insisted that if it were not so, the Bible would not have said people do pray amiss.
According to him, one of the orders is holiness, as stated in 2 Timothy 2:19.
For Pastor Tunde Malaolu, one cannot talk about the power of God without talking about the responsibility of the Christian to access the power and his responsibility to the one dispensing the power.
The preacher said, “You have the responsibility to honour the Holy Spirit and the responsibility to allow His Spirit to work in you.”
Also teaching from Jeremiah 29:13, he urged his listeners to spend more of their time seeking God and spend less time on social media.
“The truth is, we will make time for what we love; if you truly love God, you will make time for His presence,” he said.
