Pastor Yemisi Akindolie of The Fountain of Life Church (TFOLC), Ilupeju, Lagos, has emphasized that there is power available, even though sometimes we think and tend to ask where this available power is.
“The Bible tells us that this power is in us. We must not let it lie dormant”, she stated.
Speaking during the July 16 Sunday first service, the clergywoman who shared insight into the powers in believers and how they can get them activated referenced Ephesians 3:20, John 1:12; 9-13, Jeremiah 1:18, Act 1:8, and Isaiah 40:30-31, to make her point.
According to the preacher, power exists in different states, though some believers have unfortunately left it in a state of dormancy.
In her words: “When the power in you gets activated by the help of the Holy Spirit, you are unstoppable. You do and achieve a lot more.
“You have the authority and power to walk in dominion. You have the power to plant and build as kingdom builders.
“The name of the Lord, the power that has been given to us, is a strong tower. The power of the Holy Ghost is one of the spiritual gifts that God has given to us. We must activate it. We have the power to put the enemy in his place, just like Jesus did to Satan”.
Pastor Akindolie shared the secrets that make the power in believers potent or dissolved, adding that the blood of Jesus, God’s Word, the Holy Spirit, and fellowshipping with the brethren are enhancers of power in a believer.
On the other hand, the clergywoman asserted that unbelief, sin, bad company, forgetfulness of one’s true identity, distraction, discouragement, and the idol of self are power leakages or resistors in the life of a believer.
In rounding off, the preacher admonished the congregation to be strong in the Lord.
