The wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye, fondly called Mummy G.O graced the January 10 second service as Guest Minister.
During her ministration titles, “The Secret of Christians’ Victory”, she admonished the congregation on how best to engage and win the spiritual battles they face daily.
According to Mummy G.O, every Christian engages in a spiritual battle and can only wear the crown of glory when he or she wins. This is why, she noted, they should be on the alert always. “As soldiers of Christ, therefore, you need to be on your guard at all times,” she charged.
Speaking from Ephesians 6:10-18, she said that believers need and should always deploy the help of the Holy Spirit who is our ally to help them win the battles. In her words, “We wrestle against unforeseen forces, so we need an ally who is equally invisible. If our God is invisible, He is able to fight the invisible. As invisible, He is equally immortal.”
She went on to list Faith; The Word of God; Prayer; Praise and the Blood of Jesus as the unseen weapons believers should deploy to win life’s battles. She then encouraged them not to allow distractions as they journey in life.
Other scriptural quotations cited include, Mark 11:22-23; Matthew 4:4-10; Philippians 4:6; Psalm 22:3-4 and Revelation 12:11.
