Pastor Taiwo at the June 20 Thursday Showers service said that the Holy Spirit is essential to believers’ activities, and their understanding of this will enable them to do greater exploits for the Lord. “As a believer, you have the Holy Spirit; He is God with you. You only need to understand who you are,” he said.
Dwelling on Acts 1:4-8, 1 John 1:3 and 2 Corinthians 13:14, he explained that God is love and manifests Himself through Mercy (Christ) and Grace (Holy Spirit). He further said that while Mercy is God not rewarding or giving those who accept Him what they deserve, Grace is giving them what they don’t deserve. This fellowship with the Father, he said, becomes available and enjoyable to believers through the Holy Spirit. “He brings fellowship, so you have access to the treasury of God,” he noted.
He then urged them to always seek to fellowship with the Holy Spirit and ask for His help when in need. “When you’re down and don’t know what to do, just ask for His help and He will show up,” he said.
