Last week, I picked a promise in Deuteronomy 31:8, which says that the Lord will go before me and that I should not be afraid or dismayed.

My husband worked on a project with a government, involving a huge amount of money. A petition was then written against him that he had spent N600 million more than he was allocated and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission issued a warrant for his arrest.

He called me on Tuesday to share the news with me and I cried to God because I knew that my husband is an upright man who would not spend what is not his, nor steal the money. I prayed throughout Tuesday and yesterday.

My husband was accused of defrauding the government. I was afraid while praying but I remembered the promise I picked last week and continued to plead our case before the Lord; I knew God would sort us out somehow. Last night, around 11pm, he called me and said that all the allegations against him had been dropped and the warrant for his arrest had been revoked.

I bless God because He is an awesome God and indeed, His word can never fail.
