It was a sea of beautiful colours as women from different walks of life thronged the auditorium of The Fountain of Life Church Ilupeju, Lagos on Sunday, October 6, 2019 to attend arguably one of the most significant Christian gatherings for women in Nigeria – The Discovery for Women Rally.

Over the years, outstanding testimonies have trailed past events and the inter-denominational quality of the rally, makes it a special date on the calendars of many women seeking a touch from the Master, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

The Convener of the event and Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church is a worshipper. It is therefore never out of place for him to introduce his congregation to the depth of his message for any service through praise and worship. This event was no exception.

On a highly prophetic note, he stated that, “as Hannah went to Shiloh and never returned the same, someone is going to return in accordance to the desired gestation of miracles”. Continuing in the same vein, he declared that “someone is about to take over”.

Addressing the topic of the epoch gathering, “Joy – Your Incredible Spice”, Pastor Taiwo took his audience to the gospel of Matthew 26: 6 -13. He espoused on the significance of the spice that Mary Magdalene used on the Lord Jesus. He mentioned that the undeniable smell of any strong spice attests to the significance of the product. To further weigh in on the statement above, Pastor Taiwo read Proverbs 17:22 as the main text of his message.  He exhorted that joy has the capacity to cure every sickness of the mind and those that ravage the body.

He encouraged that as GOD has made our lives beautiful, we should live simply by removing every negativity. Mentioning the need to maintain joy, he said the face is the TV screen of the body. Reiterating the importance of having joy in place, Pastor Taiwo added that the joyful person is amenable and attracts favour from all men.

He admonished that once joy is not taken away, the devil can never have his way by tampering with the faith of a Christian. He, therefore, advised that joy must be consciously cultivated, and should not be mistaken for happiness. In his words, “Joy will keep you in the game until you win. Your days of losing are over in the name of Jesus.”
