Taking her text from Psalms 33:18-19 which is the promise for the week, Pastor Nomthi, admonished the congregation at the October 20 Sunday service that God never forgets His own no matter how long it takes for His promises to be fulfilled in their lives. This is why, she said, believers need to completely trust God to be faithful if they want those promises fulfilled in their lives. “Truly, the waiting period can be weary but don’t give up on God no matter how long you’ve been waiting,” she said.
Using the account of the three Hebrew children who totally trusted God even at the expense of their lives and were saved from being burnt by the fiery furnace as an example, Pastor Nomthi reiterated that lamenting or murmuring will not move God, but faith does. In her words: “You will march peacefully because your hope is in the Lord. No evil shall befall you because you fear and trust Him.”
Pastor Nomthi then urged them to have total trust in God, adding that He never fails. “The eye of the Lord is only on those who fear and hope in Him. So, hope in Him if you want Him to move on your behalf,” she enjoined.
