Don’t Handle the Word with Levity, Pastor Taiwo Warns

The Word of God is potent and a vital tool in the Kingdom. Believers should therefore not joke with it but keep on growing in it and reflecting God in their lifestyles. These were the words of Pastor Taiwo at the October 27 Sunday services. “You cannot be a Christian and handle the Word of God with levity,” he said.

Speaking from Mark 4: 26-41 and John 14:10, he said that the Word of God is a seed that, when planted in a fertile soil (heart), would grow exceedingly, adding that this seed can be sowed in any area of the believer’s life. According to him, the cares of this world, sin, and other distracting variables can root out the seed of the Word of God from believers’ hearts if they are not watchful.

He added that the miraculous happen when believers boldly speak God’s Word over anything and everything that concerns their lives, stating that the benefits of speaking His Word over one’s life are indescribable. “Just speak the Word and see the miraculous happen,” he enjoined.
