#BibleStudyNuggets: The Holy Spirit Assures Us of an Expected End

Hope you are enjoying God’s faithfulness and goodness. We had an overview of the last three weeks’ Bible study on the person of the Holy Spirit and it was indeed enlightening. Below is the summary for you to stay in tune with the Holy Spirit.

THE HOLY SPIRIT (OVERVIEW)

Just as the Google Map directs us to our destination, more than that will the Holy Spirit guide as many as believe in Jesus Christ along the best pathways for their lives. He is our Comforter, Counsellor, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby and we need all of these in the world. We need Him for everything that forms our environment (John 14:16-18).

The Holy Spirit is everything to believers on earth. We need the Holy Spirit to help us comprehend the whole truth. He is not just needed in our lives as believers but also needed in the world. 

WHAT YOU SHOULD KEEP IN MIND

It should, at all times, be in our hearts that:

• The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth; He teaches us, convicts us of our sins, warns us of God’s judgement and assures of God’s goodness.
• Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would reveal to His disciples (to us) the future, the nature of our mission, what oppositions we would face so that we can be prepared. He also assures us of the expected end; the outcome of our efforts.

Without a doubt, we have a good heritage. The Holy Spirit teaches us how to be rooted in God and knitted to Christ. He also helps us to pray.

Our minds, therefore, need to be focused on all things the Holy Spirit will be teaching us (1 John 2:18-29).

Reflections

1. God loves you dearly and is intentional about you. Deliberately spend time with Him daily.
2. God’s economy is yours to enjoy. Stay plugged in.
3. Choose to obey every instruction God gives to you.
4. Keep confessing and declaring God’s word over every area of your life.
