The Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Taiwo Odukoya, while admonishing the congregation at the March 28 Sunday service, pointed out that the Word of God was inspired by men through His Spirit and passed on to us for our edification.

Anchoring his sermon on Matthew 7:7-12 as well as James 4: 1- 5; 1 John 5:14 – 15; John 16: 24 – 27; and John 14:12 – 14, the clergy, who encouraged the congregation to be assured that there is no special ritual to believing GOD except to trust and be expectant, said that believers are indeed in the days of His power.

While many people may question the need to ask since God already knows all His children’s needs, Pastor Taiwo admonished that asking reflects love, dependence, commitment, and obedience. He asserted that it was time believers stopped struggling with the devil and focus on God, their Covenant Father.

He went ahead to highlight the challenges of not asking due to pride and ego, admonishing that such an attitude hinders God’s blessings. Pastor Taiwo further noted that believers need to be prepared to stand in faith and place a demand on the Word of God, knowing full well that there is nothing that can withstand the promises of God concerning them. “The wisdom required for successful living is in the Word of God. You only need to ask,” he said.

He, therefore, encouraged them to always go to God for whatever they desire, assuring them that He will not chase them away. “God always gives good things to His children as long as they ask Him,” he noted.
