In an emotional yet glorious Sunday service on November 13, 2022, the congregation was treated to the outstanding, enduring, and impactful memories of the late Pastor Nomthi Odukoya.
Many who knew her attested to the integrity of her walk with God and the graceful manner she lived.
Subsequently, the Senior Pastor of the Fountain of Life Church (TFOLC), Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, encouraged the congregation to know that Pastor Nomthi was in a better place.
He attested to the truth that where she is now is every Christian’s future. The clergyman mentioned that while she was alive, she did all she could do for the Lord and charged everyone to get ready to serve God with a newness of commitment.
Taking his Bible reference from Mark 14:1–9, Pastor Taiwo asserted that in every gathering, people have different motives, notwithstanding the nature of the gathering.
According to him, despite the religious and educational qualifications of the Pharisees, they did not have the prophetic insight that Mary had that made her break the alabaster jar and anoint Jesus’ legs with her tears and hair.
The Man of God declared, “while religion called her action a waste, Jesus qualified it as pure worship.”
Pastor Taiwo, who explained that the woman, in her gratitude and appreciation, saw what the disciples and the religious leaders of the day couldn’t see, added that she was prophetic.
Teaching the congregation to be conscious and careful of wrong motives, Pastor Taiwo stated that motives define perceptions.
He emphasised the importance of always having the right motives to be spiritually correct and enjoy God’s best for His children.
Bringing his message to a close, he advised that it is time to seize the moment and show forth the glorious realities of God in our lives.
The cleric prophesied that there will always be a change in any environment that a Christian steps into due to the fragrance of His presence at work, referencing 2 Corinthians 2:14–15, the anchor Scripture for the month.
