The Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, TFOLC, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, has declared that God’s children are not just conquerors but more than conquerors.
He said this, noting that those that have identified with Christ need not lose hope or give up since they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them.
Speaking from Romans 8:37; Romans 10:8; and John 8:32, the clergyman noted that believers need to walk in victory since they have been united with Christ and are more than conquerors.
According to him, one cannot harbour fear and hatred and expect victories. “Confessions are made with the heart, man believes, and with the mouth. You proclaim victory with your mouth,” he said.
Referring the congregation to 1 John 4:4, Pastor Taiwo said that Christians do not have to prove to anyone that God is of God, adding that the lives of such a believer should reveal the reality of God who lives in them.
“Until the Christian begins to speak, results will not come. One might have scriptures packed full in the heart, but until it comes out as words, they will not yield any result. With your mouth, you can chart the course of your life in the right direction.”
In positing that the word should become the revelation of the Holy Spirit through God in the believer, the Senior Pastor suggested, “Let it be beyond going to church but become a thing of relationship. The One in you is greater. He is the Creator; Lucifer rebelled and was kicked out of heaven.
“The life of the Christian is one being led by the Spirit and of prayers. Every miracle comes from spoken words; every time the Christian prays in tongues, he is living in the Spirit.
“Jesus came back from the wilderness, and persecution started, so as you begin to be led, be expectant of battles, and this is where the victories come from.
“Being more than a conqueror, the anointing irritates the devil, so be ready for attacks.”
The service also witnessed a session of prayers for Nigeria led by Pastor Blessing Awosika, who led the congregation in thanking God for the peace in the nation during and after the presidential election, which was held the previous Saturday, as well as praying for the forthcoming Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections which would hold the following Saturday.
Furthermore, pastor Bisoye Okwoli shared the promise for the week, Psalm 91:1-2 with the congregation. According to her, the promise of God for protection and provision is for the dwellers in His secret place and not visitors.
She, therefore, urged them to continually dwell in the presence of God because outside His secret place are evils.
