The Senior Pastor of the Fountain of Life Church (TFOLC), Ilupeju, Lagos, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, has emphasized the importance of giving praises to God, regardless of circumstances.
Speaking while delivering his sermon at the Showers service on Thursday, January 25, 2024, Pastor Jimmy, said, “Signs and wonders shall follow them that believe.
“Don’t miss the reason God does what He does. It is not for us to show off. It is to strengthen your faith.
“When God does something for your neighbour, that means He is in your neighbourhood. If He can do it for them right before your eyes, He can do it for you, too. What is too big for our God? He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. What we have seen here before our eyes is proof that with God, all things are possible.”
Before the above declarations from the Senior Pastor, praise, dance, and God’s miraculous encounters with the immediate needs of Showerians were the defining moments of the service.
This is consequent upon the instruction from God for worshippers to dance and praise like never before.
Among the respondents who came forward were a concerned mother who got her son restored to church; a sister, initially homeless and jobless, who got a job offer and accommodation on the spot; a testifying father who got the balance for his son’s tuition; a first-time Showerian had her debt paid up; and a worshipper who had been contemplating suicide due to loss got a substantial start-again donation.
As if saving the best for the last, towards the end of the service, a Showerian got the promise of a car gift from an online worshipper at the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
The Showerian, who is a sister, had earlier testified during the service of how God saved her from an accident, during which a side of her car got damaged.
