Speaking on the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ, the Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, at the Easter Service held on Sunday, April 4, 2021, told the onsite and online congregation that the ability for one to live a Christian life is by the resurrection power of Jesus Christ. He also noted that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives inside of every born-again child of God.
Taking his theme scripture from the book of 1 Corinthians 15:1-9, the cleric noted that this power in the resurrection of Jesus Christ makes it possible for anyone, no matter how hardened and wicked they may be, to repent. “If Jesus never resurrected, Apostle Paul would never have been a Christian and neither would we,” he said.
He went on to say that when the resurrection power dominates a believer’s thoughts, their life and all that concerns them will experience resurrection. “Ours is a resurrected life, a recovery life in Christ. The resurrection gives us hope for a future that can be compared to nothing,” Pastor Taiwo noted.
He reminded them that the core of Christianity is the resurrection power of Christ Jesus, as the entire gospel is peaked at the resurrection of Jesus Christ. “No matter how much a message is embellished from the pulpit, if it lacks the message of salvation, it is useless,” he said.
