The Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, TFOLC, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, stated during the December 16 Thursday Showers service that faith is simply taking God by His word and aligning to His word.

Giving an illustration of someone believing in the rain when the sun still shines, yet the person holds their umbrella and raincoat, the cleric noted, “The natural man will call you stupid, but that is FAITH. Then, suddenly, the weather changes, and it starts pouring; you are smiling because you saw what other people didn’t see, you saw what God has done, and others are yet to see. If you are not ready to be stupid for the word of God, you are not walking in faith.”

The clergy further said that circumstances occur that do not warrant a believer singing, dancing or praying, but a genuine child of God who has faith will not wait to see things falling in place before singing, praising, dancing and praying to God.

While explaining further, Pastor Taiwo suggested that “If you want to exercise faith, you start from the flesh. This means that you are fully in the flesh right now, and you believe God for what has not happened, you are still in the flesh, right at that moment, you begin to linger, you begin to declare and suddenly for you, it is 100%.”

He then urged them from 1 Corinthians 14:14 to receive strength in their inner man to help them pray in faith.
