God’s infinite power can turn any situation around, regardless of reality or prognosis.
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya stated this while ministering at the September 25 Sunday service, which was held at the church’s headquarters in Ilupeju, Lagos.
“When God speaks, it comes to pass unfailingly,” says Pastor Taiwo.
Using the account of Abraham, who received the fulfilment of the promise of having a child almost 25 years after the promise was given, as an example, the Senior Pastor ascertained that God is never late, irrespective of how far gone the situation facing His children is.
Referencing Genesis 17:1–7, the clergy emphasised the importance of having absolute faith in God, no matter the situation.
According to him, God always comes through, irrespective of the situations or circumstances, adding that believers need to be ever conscious of the fact that this is what the covenant is all about.
Pastor Taiwo further quoted Genesis 15:1 to say that having an encounter and revelation of the personality and sovereignty of God is vital to touching or receiving anything from Him.
Such a person, he continued, must have encountered the Word in faith, as experience comes from the overflow.
The man of God further explained that God shows Himself to His children as Almighty whenever they are in situations beyond human comprehension and ability, just as He appeared to Abram in Genesis 17 to emphasise His “almightiness” as well as His sovereignty – Elshaddai; the all-sufficient one.
The Senior Pastor, therefore, called the congregation’s attention to the need for absolute focus, dedication, and seriousness and to be constantly abiding in the truth while holding on firmly to the promises of God.
“God is more than enough,” he said.
