There is nothing the Lord delivers to us as New Testament believers without the Holy Spirit. This means that we have entered an era of limitless opportunities.
These were the words of Pastor Kunle Osunkunle during his message at the February 26 Sunday second service, where he built on the teachings of the Holy Spirit, which is the theme for the year.
Speaking from 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 16:7; Philippians 2:1; and 1 Corinthians 6:17, Pastor Osunkunle said believers have an advantage through the Holy Spirit.
He also said that the love of God and the grace of Jesus Christ make believers fellowship with the Spirit.
He also said that the love of God and the grace of Jesus Christ make believers fellowship with the Spirit.
He said this would make them get the revelation of God’s love and the grace of Jesus Christ.
The Pastor further noted that one cogent way believers can benefit from what the Holy Spirit has been commissioned to do in their lives is through fellowshipping and building intimacy with the Holy Spirit.
“Without the fellowship and communion of the Holy Spirit, your Christian life would be ordinary, devoid of depth. This will not allow you to reach your full potential in God,” he said.
The minister insisted that the Holy Spirit gives believers the advantage in life, adding that when their spirits are mingled with that of the Holy Spirit, they can reach their expected end and exploit for God.
According to him, this advantage gives them the upper hand. The cleric stated, “God doesn’t want you to walk life’s journey alone. Life is and could be complicated. It’s filled with gullies and valleys, but he wants you to navigate life with His help, so you can reach the expected end. You are supposed to rule over life and not life ruling over you.
“There are blessings you can’t get and heights you can’t attend to until you start to fellowship with the Holy Spirit. There is a powerful reality of Jesus Christ, which can be truly experienced through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
“You, therefore, need to have intimacy with Him to be able to take full advantage of what He has for you.”
According to the clergyman, believers can fellowship with the Holy Spirit by becoming thirsty, being conscious of Him; communicating with Him daily; feeding their spirits with God’s word, and praying constantly.
“As you fellowship with the Holy Spirit, it impacts your mind and body, and there are channels that would be opened to you. Therefore, most of your prayers should be that of fellowship, not request.”
He, therefore, urged the congregation to develop a strong intimacy with the Holy Spirit, as this is when they would be able to reach the expected end God has in mind for them.
“When we wander away from the help of the Holy Spirit, many things die in our lives, but once we walk in the Holy Spirit, we will be like him so that we can have access to what Jesus has access to. Without the Holy Spirit, you can’t fulfil the destiny he wants you to fulfil,” he urged.
