The general evangelism of The Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, had in attendance church departmental workers and regular church members. The participants gathered at the Youth Chapel at around 9am for a one-hour prayer session and exposition on the process of evangelism.

Shortly after the prayer session led by Bro Kayode Famuyiwa, Pastor Biodun Soderu, in his brief charge to the participants, stated that the conversation of evangelism should be centred on the love of God and, in some cases, short testimonies of God’s love towards us.

He advised participants to desist from arguing about doctrinal differences and biblical references. In his charge, he pointed out that one of the advantages of evangelism, apart from fulfilling the mandate of soul-winning, which every believer has been commissioned to partake in, is that it models us as an example for others to see.

During the split-out session for the evangelism drive, participants were divided into five groups to cover five localities: Association avenue, Ilupeju Bypass, Coker Road, Ilupeju Police Station axis and Olusoji Idowu. Each group was given tracts in English and Yoruba languages and decision forms for new converts.

Converging at the Youth Chapel after a one-hour evangelism outreach, Bro Demola Adesanya took the participant through a brief prayer session, after which Pastor Biodun Soderu announced that the Senior Pastor, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, charged parishioners to engage in the Evangelism drive every second Saturday of the month. Pastor Biodun then brought the program to a wrap with closing prayer and blessings.
