Pastor Omolara Adesanya

Pastor Omolara Adesanya has said that when someone decides and wakes up, and does the right thing irrespective of their circumstances, such person will move in and up.

She remarked during her sermon at the September 2 Thursday Showers of The Fountain of Life Church, TFOLC.

Pastor Omolara Adesanya referenced Rahab and Barak who were both nobodies but had their names written as patriarch and matriarch of faith, as seen in Hebrews 11:31-34 and Judges 4, and the prodigal son’s story, as recorded in Luke 15:11-30.

According to the cleric, “Many believers don’t have faith even though they know and preach it. That is the reason they run to man whenever they are facing challenges, instead of running to God.

“When something comes like a test, what do you do and who do you call on? Your faith doesn’t have to do with your experience of Christianity but your holding on to God irrespective of challenges.”

She explained that believers ought to always walk by faith and not by sight; noting that walking by faith requires one emptying themselves for God to fill them.

“When we walk by sight, we will be geared and encouraged by what we see. Your relationship with Christ is eternal. It is the deep trust in what cannot be seen that proffers hope. God cannot use you until you empty yourself before Him,” the preacher added.

Pastor Omolara Adesanya urged them from 2 Corinthians 5:7 and 1 Peter 3:4-5, to wake up and take charge of their circumstances because the Lord is waiting for them to do so.

God is mighty and will never leave His children, she said. According to her, all they need is to call on Him and He will answer.

“I don’t know what you are going through; whatever it is tying you down, shake it off and wake up from your slumber and stand with God. “Don’t believe in your strength. Be an example of who we are in Christ,” she told the congregation.
